Merry New Year to everyone!!! Been very busy since my drive from Utah visiting friends and family. My first overnight stop was in Milwaukee to visit a long time friend, when I woke the grounds were filled with about 10 inches of snow and not the nice fully stuff I became used to in Utah. This was the wet and heavy stuff that I started to despise when I first started to dive way to many years ago. Another thing I have noticed is that aside from my friends and family (well, most of them) I have NOT missed living in the mid-west at all. It does get cold in Utah but nothing like it does in Milwaukee or Chicago. I don’t know this from first hand experience but shoveling snow in this sort of frozen oxygen causes such shrinkage, so I have heard.

After a couple of day in Milwaukee and after the streets partly melted my car lead me to Arlington Heights, a suburb of Chicago to visit my friends Marc & Marcie. Since that time I have travled again to Milwaukee & Mauston, Wi. My dad lives in Mauston, he, me my brother and his son spent a few days there and watched the Bears try to play football. It was a nice visit even though the Bears lost a game had they won would have put them in the playoffs.

Currently I am in Rensselaer, In. visiting my step dad and his wife. While I am writing this he, me and Barney are watching a movie, Blast From the Past. In the next day or so we will take a 3 plus hour drive to Kalamazoo, Mi. to visit his mom and fix her computer. Sadly I just recently learned she uses dial-up and to make matters even worse she uses AOL. While this does not make me as sad as cold that causes such shrinkage (so I have heard) it does bring a tear to my eye.

Speaking of dial-up, my dad & his wife uses this for their Internet connection, pretend Internet really but at least they don’t have AOL. Due to this trip there are many things that are lacking my attention but I soon need to catch up but I would like to spend more time in Mauston before heading back west but the dial-up creates a problem because I cannot “work” with such old technogoly. I am pondering going there and visiting a local libary or “hotspot” for a few hours a day so my high speed needs are met.

Twenty four hours and 26 minutes after Barney and I departed Utah we arrived in Greenfield, Wi. (next to Milwaukee) We got a little lucky in the sense the roads were perfect, there was a large snow storm in our wake the entire trip. Our goal was to make the trip in 24 hours of less, would have happened if not for wasting nearly 1 hours searching for a new headlight on account of the one that was being used burned out.Barney was very good on the trip and he thought when I slowed down the trip was over. Seemed like he never could be comfortable. Been a long day so I will close this now with the trip stats.

Max speed: 88.2

Moving average: 65.6

Overall average: 59.5

Moving time: 22 hours 10 min

Time stopped, gas, headlight and such: 2 hours 15 minutes

Nodded off:

Me = 0

Barney = 186

Tall coffee: 3

Red Bull: 3

Hours awake: 36 & counting

Savior the birdies!

There are more reasons to make sure Geico or All State is paid their auto insurance fees, tires are safe on ones automobile and paying my yearly license theft fee but the reason I did so today was because I am about to make a journey from Utah to Illinois. The drive should be around 25 hours and I hope to complete it by only stopping for gas, food and to let Barney out.

Some suggest this drive should be over two days, perhaps so and maybe it will be but if my eyes stay open the drive will continue. I have taken this drive before without issue. We will find out.. if you never see a new post from me on thephilippinesandme.com you will know not stopping was a bad idea.

I just hope my trip to Chicago does not include any visit from snow. Actually my first planned stop will be in Milwaukee or thereabouts, then Chicago and at some point I need to go to Indiana. Could be gone for a couple of months because this visit with friends and family very well could be the last time I see them before I move to the Philippines, most likely while there I will inform them of my plans.

Savor the birdies!

With the utmost sincerity my apologizes are being sent out to those regular viewers of this site for having weeks between now and my last post. Sorry! Each and everyday the plan was to share with you all what is going on but the days have felt only an hour long. Honestly, never in my life can I recall being more busy, I am not lying like a dwi lawyer would, or would it be a dui lawyer?

Hour after hour is being soaked up by my new venture, the venture that was created to help my revenue stream once my move to the Philippines happens. Wednesday at 10:00am was when my eyes opened up and my legs managed to touch ground. By no means was that statement amazing but the next one while not amazing is in fact insane. The next time my eyeballs saw the inside of my eyelids was 1:30am on Friday, the entire time between was spent on this laptop, the laptop with a quickly wearing keyboard.

Each day the goal was to share with you my progress on my new development but each day either I get busier, have problems or both so each day passed with a hello to all my friends. Please don’t hate me! Well hate me if you must but keep coming to this site!

Soon you all will have more details what I am working on but not yet as I need to get a few things done before I share. You know a little already as it was shared in a prior post, the site I am working on is mySportsPEN .com. What I can tell you is that is seems to be taking off quite nicely. So nicely in fact that it is eating away my days. The only break I have given myself is watching the Chicago Bears try to play football and in stunning fashion, at least to me I find myself with my laptop during the game and working. To those that know me this really is stunning, no lie.. I am not a lawyer, banker, insurance salesman or Obama politician.

I hope you all are having a great holiday season! No lie.

Savor the birdies!

Not long ago I wrote about meeting Samantha and needing to make sure nothing between us happens due to the fact moving to the Philippines in my main priority. This has not changed and the update is that I have not called her although the temptation was/is high.

This whole event did get me thinking about my future in the Philippines. Some of my goals of today remain the same as there were when I was much younger and that is I desire to be married to a wonderful woman and have many children.

At some point while living in the Philippines I will want to settle down and get married and have children. When this happens I don’t know what to do. Since I am unsure of citizenship laws the rest of this article could go a long way of proving how much of an idiot the writer of this is.

Keep in mind I am not moving away from America because of hatred, in fact my feelings are quite the opposite. Certainly there are things that are happening that I hate but I feel America is the best country in the world on many different levels and it is for this reason when I have children my desire is for them to be citizens of America.

This is where the “idiot” thing may come in. I assume when (if) my marriage happens in the Philippines and children are on the calendar to arrive what needs to happen for such mentioned children to become American citizens?

Do the babies need to born in America? Again the assumption is yes and if it is yes how difficult would it be to travel to America with the wonderful woman I mentioned above?

Should any of the millions of viewers of this site have any advice I would more than appreciate it.

Savor the birdies!
